User Instructions

green.gif Ensure that the knife to be sharpened is clean and dry.

green.gif Switch on machine.

green.gif Grip the knife handle firmly, pull knife gently and fairly quickly towards you, making contact with the sharpening wheel. (See illustration)

green.gif  Repeat the operation using the other slot.

 

 

Repeat this process, passing the knife alternately through each slot until blade is of the desired sharpness.

 

Step 1 :

Press the knife to the bottom of the grinding wheel, hold and  pull knife gently and fairly

quickly towards you and passing the knife alternately through each slot.

*Repeat this step if the knife is blunt.

 

Step 2 :

Same as step 1, hold and  pull knife gently and fairly quickly towards you and passing the knife

alternately through each slot But reduce the power of pression ĦI

The pression is beteween Step 1 and Step 2.

*Repeat this step once or twice if the knife is blunt.

 

Step 3 :

Same as step 1 or Step 2, hold and  pull knife gently and fairly quickly towards you and passing the knife

alternately through each slotĦAbut with a slight pression. make the blade of knife touch the grinding wheels

very slightly. Please do not push the knife too hard.

(Suggestion : repeat the step twice at least.)

 

Check if the knife is sharpened or not after these 3 steps

If not yet, Repeat these 3 steps once or twice.

Unplug the machine and undo the wing nut. Remove the machine and place onto a firm working surface.

Take top cover apart.

 

Invert the machine and use a soft brush to sweep any dust and debris away.

Suggestion : Do this action  after sharpening 5~10 knives.

Remove the wheel by undoing the end cover with finger to allow the wheel to be removed from the shaft

 If the rear section of the wheel is unused, use of the belt is maximised by replacing the wheel ensuring the unused section is to the front. Replace the shaft end covers and tighten to finger tight. Replace the cover and return the machine to the shelf. Secure with the wing nut.

If the belts need replacing, cut through the belt using scissors, ensuring the foam is not damaged in the process. green.gif If the foam on the wheel is damaged for any reason, the complete wheel should be replaced.

 

Push the replacement belt over the foam and replace the wheel on the shaft. Assemble the unit as described previously.
